Camping site | De Vlei | Karoo

The Ceres-Tankwa Karoo is a semi-desert area and possibly the most de-populated area in South Africa, and for those wishing to truly escape the rat rate, you couldn’t ask for a better place for peace and tranquility.

De Vlei extends from the Karoo plains  up into the Swartruggens Mountain Range, and when the rains comes, this place is transformed into a floral wonderland. A wonderful range of animal species are also to be found.

The four campsites, each with spectacular views, are situated in possibly the most beautiful part of De Vlei, the river bed area, where streams and vlei’s flow in Winter. Come ready to have a time of getting right back to nature.

Each camping site is  equipped with braai area and tap, and ablution and washing facilities are in natural stone and have 2 showers and toilets.
