De Vlei extends from the Karoo plains up into the Swartruggens Mountain Range, and when the rains comes, this place is transformed into a floral wonderland. A wonderful range of animal species are also to be found.
The four campsites, each with spectacular views, are situated in possibly the most beautiful part of De Vlei, the river bed area, where streams and vlei’s flow in Winter. Come ready to have a time of getting right back to nature.
Each camping site is equipped with braai area and tap, and ablution and washing facilities are in natural stone and have 2 showers and toilets.

Zvakanaka means ‘everything is OK’ and that is exactly what it’s like at this camping site in the Soutpansberg mountains, offering a relaxing getaway for nature lovers.
Zvakanaka farm is 74 hectares of grassland, wetland and semi-deciduous scrub-forest. The campsite, with its wonderful mountain views, is situated near the wetland, far from the cabin and cottage, and if you’re a bird lover, you’re in for a treat.
There are two camps, William’s and Sam’s, named after their two employees who work on the farm and who helped to build them. They share the ablution block consisting of four toilets and two showers. Each has their own entrance and basin. The campsite is also fully electrified and offers -
- a shelter offering shade
- an electric light and a power point
- a braai stand
- a water point
- sites for tents
There are numerous trails cut on the farm to enjoy an invigorating nature walk.
